We are seeking an outstanding candidate for PhD scholarships for an ARC Discovery Project entitled: Veteran Suicide: Investigating the Social and Historical Dimensions This exciting project is a partnership between Flinders University, The University of New South Wales Queensland, and the University of Alabama.
The project has one funded PhD scholarships which will be based at Flinders University in the College of Education, Social Work and Psychology, in the Open Door: Understanding and Supporting Service Personnel and their Families research initiative. (Principal supervisor Professor Ben Wadham, Associate Supervisor Associate Professor Udoy Saikia).
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. Scholarship Application
Prior to submitting an application for the scholarship, prospective applicants are advised to contact the Project lead, Professor Ben Wadham via email ([email protected]) to discuss your interest and eligibility in the opportunity. The Project lead may invite you to apply and request a copy of your CV together with a covering letter outlining your relevant qualifications, experience, research experience and reasons for applying for the scholarship.
Applicants will be shortlisted and interviews will be held the week commencing September 4th 2023. Outcomes will be released by September 15. 2023. (interviewing is not mandatory project leads may select their preferred candidate by advising student finance and scholarships via Service one.)
The successful candidate will ideally begin by February 5, 2024 subject to negotiation (and not later than March 4 2024).
