Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. The amount of each scholarship will not exceed $3,000 but may be less depending on requirements of the successful applicant/s, if more than one scholarship is offered based on applicant rankings and funds available. No one will be awarded more than one scholarship in any one year. In exceptional circumstances the trustees of the AFUW-SA Inc. Trust Fund reserve the right not to award a scholarship.
Applicants:
Selection of winners is based primarily on academic merit, but also on the importance of the purpose for which the scholarship will be used to the progress or completion of the degree, on referees’ report, on financial need as well as community activities and other interests.
