The FirstBank Management Associate Programme (FMAP) is designed to build a pipeline of next-generation leaders who will drive the Bank's vision of being Africa's Bank of first choice.
In a bid to integrate leadership into the culture of the Bank and groom a pipeline of next generation leaders, the Board has approved the implementation of the FirstBank Management Associate Programme (FMAP). This initiative is designed as a fast-track comprehensive developmental programme, targeted at young, dynamic, self-motivated and highly driven individuals with excellent thinking skills, financial and methodical skills, as well as exceptional ability to communicate effectively and synthesize ideas, information and data to aid decision making.

Global Exposure and Network

In summary, the FirstBank Management Associate Programme is aimed at building a pipeline of next generation leaders who will drive the Bank’s vision of being Africa’s Bank of first choice. The programme is open to both internal and external candidates who possess the right skill set and excellent leadership potential. Successful candidates will be promoted to Assistant Manager grade and will enjoy regular promotion subject to consistent high performance ratings.
Internal Qualification
The Bank is soliciting applications from eligible internal candidates between BA & SBO grades who possess the right skill set and excellent leadership potential. Candidates must be willing to take advantage of this window of opportunity to fast-track their career and be part of the next generation of leaders of the Bank.
Successful candidates (Management Associates) will be promoted to Assistant Manager grade, irrespective of their grades at the point of entry, upon completion of the programme. They will also be tagged as High-Potential staff (HiPos) in the Bank and will enjoy regular promotion subject to consistent high performance ratings in the yearly appraisal exercise. Full-time postings will be assigned based on the delegate’s preferred/selected business function.
