FIG Foundation announces the opening of applications for FIG Foundation Ph.D. Scholarship 2021. The FIG Foundation will be providing scholarships of up to 4,000 euros plus possible funding for conference travel to PhD students.  The applicant must be studying for a PhD degree registered in a surveying/geomatics academic programme in a country listed by the World bank as low-income, lower-middle or upper-middle income economy.

About FIG Foundation

The FIG Foundation is an independent body under the International Federation of Surveyors. The Foundation has been established for the purpose of raising funds to finance educational and capacity building projects and scholarships. The Foundation aims to raise a fund of 1 million US dollars in the coming years. This will allow activities to be funded by using the annual interest. Aim and Benefits of FIG Foundation Fellowship

• Successful applicants of the FIG Foundation Ph.D Scholarship, 2021 will receive scholarships of up to 4,000 euros plus possible funding for conference travel to  PhD students.
• Successful applicants will qualify for a further grant of up to 3,000 euros to attend and present a peer reviewed paper at a FIG conference.

Requirements for FIG Foundation Fellowship Qualification

• Applicants must be studying for a PhD degree and registered solely in a surveying/geomatics academic programme that teaches surveying[1] in a country listed by the World Bank as a low-income, lower-middle or upper-middle income economy.
• Applicants must have had a paper accepted by a peer reviewed international journal based on their doctoral research project; applicants should be the lead author, and the paper should be co-authored with their supervisor.
• Applicants should not have submitted their final thesis at the application deadline.
