CGI U provides need-based travel assistance to a limited number of students to attend the CGI U meeting. You can apply for this assistance when you apply to attend CGI U (as noted below, students are only eligible for travel assistance if they apply by the Early Decision deadline).
Duration of Program: All accepted CGI U students are expected to be available for the entirety of the scheduled dates of the four online modules outlined below. Accepted students are required to attend and fully participate in all online module activities. The average time commitment is 3 hours per module.

You are eligible to apply to the CGI U Class of 2023 student cohort if:
Applications will be reviewed by the CGI U Selection Committee. All applicants will be notified of admissions decisions in January 2023. The CGI U Selection Committee is committed to selecting a diverse cohort of students – representing different backgrounds, experiences, regions, institutions, academic studies, and project areas – that demonstrate the motivation to tackle specific challenges, the capacity to develop their leadership skills, and a commitment to CGI U’s year-round program.

CGI U GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Through the online platform, Commitment Mentors will review and monitor student engagement in the CGI U curriculum and ensure that students are fulfilling requirements for graduation. To complete the CGI U program and become eligible for CGI U’s Commitment-Maker seal, letters of recommendation and other opportunities, students must complete the following over the course of the 2023 program:
BEFORE YOU APPLY: Please refer to the CGI U 2023 Rubric, as well as cgiu.org/apply for additional resources. You will also be able to save drafts of your answers in the application platform.
SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION: The Early Decision deadline is October 23, for those interested in applying for travel assistance to the CGI U Annual Meeting. The Regular Decision deadline is December 16.
We do not allow groups of more than three students to apply for CGI U, and we reserve the right to not invite all members of each group that applies. If your group has more than three students, we ask that you select the three students who can best represent your project to apply.
