Asylum seekers and the children of asylum seekers are often unable to access mainstream UK student funding. We are making available two awards to help eligible students.
Cardiff University (Welsh: Prifysgol Caerdydd) is a public research university located in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. Founded in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire, it became one of the founding colleges of the University of Wales in 1893, and in 1997 received (but held in abeyance) its own degree-awarding powers. Two awards are available. They will cover the cost of tuition and provide a non-repayable grant of £4,000 per year to support your living costs. You will also meet with, and receive support from, an adviser who can help you transition into Higher Education.
Students who are either asylum seekers or children of asylum seekers. Please note that students studying Healthcare Sciences, Dentistry or Medicine are not eligible for this award.
