he University of Cambridge will offer, via the Cambridge Trusts, approximately 250 Cambridge International Scholarships to Overseas Students who embark on a research course in the next academic year. The awards will be made on a competitive basis to those applicants considered by their departments to be the most outstanding.
The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust was established on 1 August 2013 from the merger of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and the Cambridge Overseas Trust. These were established as charities by the University of Cambridge in the 1980s in order to provide financial support for international students on degree courses at Cambridge. A University Committee draws up one ranked list of all PhD candidates across all disciplines. The only factors taken into consideration in agreeing this list are academic qualifications, references and research potential. The financial situation of applicants does not affect the selection of scholarship winners.
All candidates should submit the Graduate Application Form and complete the funding section of the online application form via the Applicant Portal expressing their ‘wish to be considered for funding’.
