The Bendigo Bank University Scholarship for Indigenous Students aims to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (of any age) with a passion for local leadership and a desire to support their communities through future study, who have been offered a place at an Australian university to study for the first time at Bachelor’s degree level in 2024 and are experiencing challenging circumstances.
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honour of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. The Scholarship program supports the following study related expenses – accommodation costs, course costs (excluding HELP fees), study-related materials/equipment, textbooks, tutoring and /or education related travel (within Australia).
The scholarship award value $6,500 per year for 2 years for each successful recipient, subject to the criteria set out above and satisfactory academic performance.
Applications are encouraged from people living with a disability and those who identify as LGBTQA+.
