Applications are now open for the ANID-Chile Cambridge Scholarship 2025 for Postgraduate Students. This scholarship is available to Masters and PhD applicants from Chile in any subject.  It is tenable at any College.

About Cambridge Trust

The Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust was established on 1 August 2013 from the merger of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and the Cambridge Overseas Trust.  These were established as charities by the University of Cambridge in the 1980s in order to provide financial support for international students on degree courses at Cambridge.  The Trust awards approximately 500 scholarships annually, and supports between 1,100 and 1,400 students in residence each year from 85 countries across the world.  During its history of over 30 years of off... continue reading

Aim and Benefits of ANID-Chile Cambridge Scholarship

Requirements for ANID-Chile Cambridge Scholarship Qualification

The eligibility requirements for most postgraduate Cambridge scholarships are:

  • significant academic achievement and potential
  • financial need (although some scholarship programmes are based on academic merit alone)

Applicants must be intending to start a course at the level of:

  • Masters (such as MPhil, MASt, LLM but with some restrictions - see Important information section below)
  • Research postgraduate (such as PhD)

How to Apply

Candidates are selected by ANID (not the Trust)  

To ensure that they are considered for this scholarship, applicants must follow both of the following steps:

  1. Check with ANID the funding call deadlines and details of the application process, and apply accordingly; AND 
  2. Apply for admission to the University of Cambridge by the funding deadline specific to their course (please refer to the Postgraduate Course Directory)
